Lexus, which previewed four battery-electric vehicles in December, is sharing more images and stretch specs on one of them — a high-performance electric sports car.
The BEV Sport concept signals the future of the luxury brand, Lexus says, while also reviving the spirit of the high-performance LFA, a halo model Lexus discontinued in 2012 after a run of 500 cars.
The company says acceleration from 0 to 60 mph may land in the low two-second range, and cruising distance could exceed 435 miles, with the possible use of solid-state batteries.
Lexus plans to have a lineup of EVs in all segments by 2030 and to be EV-only by 2035.
